There are 3 main routes up to the summit Snezka, two of which start in Pec Pod Snezkou and the other in Karpacz all routes varying in difficulty.

1 - From Pec Pod Snezkou Blue Route (Easy)

2 - From Pec Pod Snezkou Green/Yellow Route (Easy)

3 - From Karpacz (Easy)

1. Blue Route Pec Pod Snezkou

The Blue route start anywhere in Pec Pod Snezkou, follow the wide track west for 3.8km until you reach Kapelle im Riesengrund then take the fork right, This first section of the walk barely ascents and is low level.

From the fork the path will have more of an incline, follow this smaller clear track up towards Snezka for 2.7km until you reach Domslaski. This section of the path ascents 440m before reaching the mountain hut, this route should only be done in summer as ice can form over the track with a sheer drop to the left of most parts of the path. 

Once at the Domslaski mountain hut the summit will be in view, turn right and follow the path that zig zags to the summit for 1km. Once at the summit of Snezka you can decide to take the same route back down, the Green/Yellow route or in fact you can get the Ski Lift down to Pec Pod Snezkou.

2. Green/Yellow Pec Pod Snezkou

This routes starts in Pec Pod Snezkou, take the green route which ascends steeply for 2.8km until reaching the Bouda Ruzohorky mountain hut. From this point take the yellow route left reaching the half way point to the first Ski lift station in 1km this section from the mountain hut to the ski lift only ascends 60m.

From the first ski lift it is a further 2.5km to the summit of Snezka and 260m of ascent. This last bit of the track is easily marked and very gradual, the route starts of through woodlands on a track until the last 100m of the climb where the track changes into steps towards the summit of the highest mountain in Czech Republic. 

From the summit of Snezka you can take the same path down, the blue route or the ski lift back to Pec Pod Snezkou.

3. Karpacz Route

This route can start anywhere in the Polish town Karpacz. From Karpacz head up the valley along side the summit of Bulawa and to the wide summit ride, this first section of the route is the longest and the steepest section with a distance of 5.3km and a 540m acsent.

Once reaching the wider path follow it right towards the mountain hut Jelenka 1km from this point take the steps to the summit of the first peak Czarna Kopa. 

At Czarna it is a further 2.5km walk to the summit of Snezka with a 200m climb, you have the option to return to the start point by going back the way you original route or by carrying on the path you are on until reaching Dom Slaski mountain hut after 1km. From here turn right and follow the track all the way into Karpacz from Dom Slaski it is 6km back into Karpacz,
